REVIEW
A beautiful shady walled garden is laid out in front of this 16th-century Palazzo, which is filled with antiques, paintings and silver and where the prevailing atmosphere is that of an aristocratic private home (which it is), restored and opened to guests. Service is charming but discreet. A magnificent double stone staircase leads to the impressive bedrooms, all of which are beautifully appointed with richly coloured brocade-covered walls, and some of which are truly vast.
